What is your favorite album by each of the following bands?
AC/DC
KISS
Metallica
Van Halen
Judas Priest
Mine:
AC/DC-Powerage, a very underrated album.
KISS-Dressed to kill, but Lovegun is very close.
Metallica-Ride the lightning
Van Halen-Fair Warning, I may be the only person that loves this album.
Judas Priest-Screaming for vengeance
AC/DC- Back in Black. It's the quintessential rock album.
ReplyDeleteKISS- Love Gun; just because
Metallica- the Black Album. Yeah, I know it's more mainstream than the earlier ones, but I like it more.
Van Halen- Van Halen I. With the exception of 1984, none of their other albums even come close.
Judas Priest- interestingly, I have no Priest albums, but I'd choose British Steel
AC/DC: Highway to Hell - although I like Back in Black just nearly as well.
ReplyDeleteKISS: Destroyer - Although this was a really tough choice. How do you pick the best of the best?
Metallica: S&M - It may be odd but I love the orchestra behind the metal.
Van Halen: Diver Down - And I am probably the only person on the planet that would think so.
Judas Priest: Priest...Live - Halford just sounds better live on this album to me for some reason.
AC/DC - Back in Black - I know this was the first album without Bon Scott, but it's so raw you have to love it.
ReplyDeleteKISS - Rock and Roll Over - I prefer Gene's voice over Paul's and a lot of tracks on this are sung by Simmons
Metallica - Master of Puppets - There is not one track that doesn't rock on this one.
Van Halen - VH1 - "Dedicate one to the Ladies.........."
Judas Priest - I also don't own any Priest albums, but I'd have to say Priest...Live. They just sound great live.
AC/DC- Back In Black. Maybe a bit too predictable a choice, but it's hard to argue against it.
ReplyDeleteKISS- Like fuzzbox said, really tough choice. I'm going to go with Hotter Than Hell. They were still very young and this had a very raw sound to it.
Metallica- And Justice For All. Puppets seems to be the favorite, but I always prefered Justice.
Van Halen- Definitely VH1. No contest.
Judas Priest- Um, I don't have any Priest either. Wouldn't be fair for me to pick one.
AC/DC: Highway to Hell, with Dirty Deeds a close second (but Powerage ain't a bad choice)
ReplyDeleteKiss: Rock and Roll Over, Hotter Than Hell (tie)
Metallica: Ride the Lightning
Van Halen: Van Halen, followed very closely by Fair Warning
Priest: Sad Wings of Destiny (yeah, I'm old school)
