To kick off Iron Maiden week here are two simple questions.
What is your favorite Iron Maiden album?
What is your favorite Iron Maiden album cover or covers? (This includes covers of singles as well as lp covers)
My favorite album is the Number of the beast.
My favorite album covers are Powerslave, the Trooper, Live after death and Aces High.
Coming up Monday will be my review of Maiden's Killers.
I'd have to say my favorite cover is Piece of Mind and my favorite album is Somewhere in Time.
ReplyDeleteSomewhere in time has a great cover and it is possible that the back of that album is better than 95% of the front covers of other albums that came out at the time.
ReplyDeleteMy son is an amazing rock guitarist. He will be BIG some day, and buy me lots of stuff!! Yippeee!
ReplyDeleteIron Maiden was never on my play list at any time in my life. But, an album cover that I like is that one with a baby angel on the front smoking a cigarette. I think it was an Arrowsmith or a Van Halen cover.
My son knows all this kind of stuff. I am just a 42 year old mom who likes groups like Toto, Boston, Queen, and Kansas. I don't know squat about heavy metal, but I get a kick out of Ozzy Osbourne.
Thanks for dropping by my blog!
Enjoy what's left of your weekend.
Favorite Albums - Number of the Beast
ReplyDeletealbum covers - Somewhere in Time
Favorite album: Number of the Beast. I can't imagine choosing anything else, even though I love so many others.
ReplyDeleteFavorite cover: Powerslave. But I have to put in a shadow vote for Brave New World. What a fantastic idea, and good execution. I must have looked at that cover for hours and compared it to the current skyline.
(And Metal Mark -- great point about the back of Somewhere in Time, which was my first and [almost] my favorite Maiden album).
This is gonna be a good week.
