Current playlist

Lately I have been listening to:

The Sword-Age of winters
Judas Priest-Screaming for vengeance and British Steel
Motorhead-Another perfect day, Orgasmatron and Rock and roll
Vyper-Prepared to strike
Blacklace-Unlaced
King Kobra-Ready to strike
Gamma Ray-Majestic

What are you listening to?

Since it is almost the end of the summer, is there one album that you have been listening to more than any other during the summer?

For me it's probably been the Sword's Age of winters, Accept's Metal Heart and Iron Maiden's The number of the beast.

  1. Since I've been really nostalgic lately, I've broken out the Scorpions, Savage Amusement, Robert Plant, The Principle of Moments and Dokken, Back for the Attack mostly.

Can you tell from my list whose new CD I'm greatly anticipating? Lately I've been listening to:

    Iron Maiden: Dance of Death
Iron Maiden: Number of the Beast
    Bruce Dickinson: A Chemical Wedding
    Bruce Dickinson: Accident at Birth
    Slayer: Christ Illusion
    Priestess: Hello Master

I've probably listened to that goddamned Slough Feg CD, Traveller the most. I wish I knew how many times I've listened to this CD since I got it. It has to be astronomical.

  3. For the whole summer, I can't really claim one ... because I'll done a good job of rotating CDs and/or using the iPod shuffle. I have listened to a lot of DLR Van Halen, though.

The CDs in my car now are:

    Judas Priest, Sin After Sin
Bryan Adams, Cuts Like a Knife (yes, really)
    Bruce Dickinson, Tyranny of Souls
    Thin Lizzy, Jailbreak
    Yes, The Yes Album
Deep Purple, Perfect Strangers (inspired by something you said last week!)

    Current:
    Beyond Fear - s/t
    Hear'n'Aid
    Riot - Army Of One
    Motorhead - Orgasmatron
    MSG - Tales Of Rock'n'Roll

There are a lot of albums in my collection that are "seasonal" and I usually pull them out, this year I haven't. I've been listening to a lot of Motorhead because of the reissues and Dio-related releases. Beyond Fear has stuck around since early May and I keep grabbing CDs by Royal Hunt, Balance Of Power, and Lana Lane.

  5. Onmywatch-I listened to Savage Amusement not too long ago.

Fred-I am looking forward to the new Maiden as well.

Sgt. Fluffy-That Cult album is really good, way heavier than most of their other material.

David-I was listening to most of the Roth era Van Halen albums not too long ago.

Steve-I have never heard Beyond Fear. The MSG album seems to have gotten some good reviews.

Mark: I've heard a few sample tracks online at maiden.com and they sound very promising. I love that Benjamin Breeg sond and Different Worlds is not too shabby either!

Sgt. Fluffy: What do you think of that Helmet?

  8. The new Isis album "In the Absence of Truth" has been my rock for over two weeks that by the time it officially comes out on Halloween it'll seem like an old friend to me.

Fred and all Maiden fans, I have the new Maiden advance promo en route to me right now with a possible interview with Nicko McBrain behind it if Sanctuary gets it done. I'll report when the album comes.

    Playlist:

Isis - In the Absence of Truth
    Flogging Molly - Swagger
    Mushroomhead - XIII
Meliah Rage - The Deep and Dreamless Sleep

Gojira - From Mars to Sirius
    Ani DiFranco - Repreive
