They're pretty similar, being b&w group shots, but I think the Kix cover is clearly better. The Skid Row cover is too serious for being such silly music. At least Kix is willing to be a little goofy so the cover is fun rather than pretentious. The sparkler doesn't hurt either.
erik-Westminster is real close to where I live. If you were a teenager in the 1980's in central Maryland or south central Pennsylvania then you knew KIX's debut inside and out.
I remember being very excited to get that Skid Row cassette, so I'll go with that one.

ReplyDeleteWow...never realized how similar those covers were.
ReplyDeleteI think I will go with Kix as well on this one (although the Skid Row album is clearly better than this Kix disc.)
I like the KIX one too because it's more fitting to their personality plus I like the green logo.
ReplyDeleteSkid Row. Darker, better effects, less hair focus.
ReplyDeleteI like the Kix one better. Skid Row's seems to dark .
ReplyDeleteskid row, definitely
ReplyDeleteGotta go with Kix-and not just because the first rock shows I ever saw involved Kix at a roller rink in Westminster, MD USA 1981-style!
