For the album cover, I'll take the Testament. For the album itself, I'll go with Images and Words. I am a HUGE Testament fan, but Souls of Black was a let down for me. Images and Words was fresh at the time of its release although when I saw that tour I wanted to kill James Labrie. What a pansy. I also saw that Testament tour and they were phenomenal live...they always are.
I like the Dream Theater cover. it's a little too busy, but I like the tones and the perspective. Souls of black looks more like a dated horror/fantasy book cover.

ReplyDeleteThis is a tough one. I like them both for different reasons. Testament's is pretty dark and spooky, but the imagery on Dream Theatre's is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI'll have to say a tie. I just like them both.
DT is much more detailed and eye-popping, but Testament is more stark , while both are quite surreal
