the artwork on The Oath is certainly a lot tighter and cleaner than Spectre, but it always wigged me out a bit, so I'll go with Spectre...it's also a better album. :)
I like both but it's Mercy Fate for me.
I like both as well, but I will go with Mercyful Fate. I like how the figure comes out of the flames (it's also the better album of the two).
"Don't Break the Oath" is one of the best metal albums ever. No contest. And its cover is great, Mark nailed it when he mentioned the flames effect.
Mercyful Fate for me! I loved both bands but The Oath was a classic, and the cover was awesome.
Don't Break the Oath for the win. I have that artwork painted on the back of my leather jacket. Truly epic and timeless sleeve design.
love this clash but Mercyful Fate, just because it was when Satan was still a scary part of metal instead of cartoon character like he is now
