It's fairly close and maybe not totally fair with Armored Saint having over twice as many releases if you count the live EP. Still I have always liked Armored Saint just a little more.
I go with Armored Saint, but I like both bands a lot. I never saw Grim Reaper live, but I did see Armored Saint open for Metallica in 1985 and they were very good. Kudos to the Saints coming out to do security for Metallica after the original security guys bailed out because the crowd was too insane. Very wild show!
I'll take Armored Saint if for no other reason than Steve Grimmett's voice was just hard to take. He's actually been a much better singer on his recent material than he ever was with GR.
i'll have to go with grim reaper. i like armored saint, but am not a huge fan. grim reaper, on the other hand, i do love. all 3 albums.

ReplyDeleteDamn, I love them both. Saint is the better band but I spent so many nights in the 80s spinning Grim Reaper
ReplyDeletemmm... this is a hard choice... I like both of them, it's quite a tie
ReplyDeleteBut if I must say only one, I say Grim Reaper: See You in Hell is a great song!
