Dream Theater by far, their Scenes From A Memory is my favorite album of all time, so for me the choice is obvious. I like Queensryche's albums Operation: Mindcrime and Empire, but the rest is just so-so. Also their newest album was complete crap.
@Metal Mark, Dream Theater pretty much started in the 90's (89) while Queensryche began in 81. Kind of an odd comparison to make.
while i adore DT's debut and like their 2nd album quite a bit too, QR's EP and first 2 albums definitely get more airplay for me.
ReplyDeleteSo...Queensryche
Aw man, the two best Progressive Metal bands, they both are great but I listen to Queensryche far more often so I vote Queensryche
ReplyDeleteBoth are great, but if I had to choose...it would be DT, but not by much...
ReplyDeleteHow can I possibly pick between such big bunches of wankers?
ReplyDeleteWithout a doubt...Queensryche!
ReplyDeleteDream Theater. Mainly because I've never been tired of DT's albums where as I got Queensryche burnout and then disinterest after Promised Land.
ReplyDeleteDream Theater. The last time I liked one of their albums was in the mid-90's as opposed to the
ReplyDelete80's for Queensryche.

Dream Theater for sure
ReplyDeleteQueensryche had lost it the moment Chris DeGarmo left :(
Queensryche one of the premeir progressive Metal bands around. I do agree about Chris DeGarmo leaving.
ReplyDeleteTough decision.. I like them both.
