When I making this post I figured that I was going to choose Motorhead. However the more I looked at them the more the the Thin Lizzy cover appealed to me. So Thin Lizzy for me.
I used the "air brush" when I was in college, so I know the hours... perhaps days of work that was involved in making that Motorhead album cover look so thrilling. This Motorhead cover I did study, while learning my air brush technique.
I honestly used this "Bomber" album cover as inspiration to do my very best with my art projects back then. Neither album cover was done in photoshop, (of course), only trust me, that "Bomber" cover took a steady hand to create!
Man, tough call. Even though I love Motorhead I'll say Thin Lizzy!
ReplyDeleteThe Thin Lizzy cover is much cooler, but man - I loves me some Motorhead.

ReplyDeleteThe lunar elelment to the Thin Lizzy cover is attractive, but I gotta go with the destructive hardware of Motorhead.
