Adrift is Scott "Wino" Weinrich's acoustic solo recording after many years of urging from family,friends and fans. While Wino is most known for his work in doom metal (St. Vitus/The Obsessed) Adrift is just a man and his guitar. Mostly acoustic in nature (with only occasional electric guitar riffs) Adrift is haunting and beautiful. It's Wino being himself. Stripped naked and longing to express another side of himself Wino tackles not only the death of band mate and friend Joh Blank but also his inner demons. While not perfect Adrift is up there with Jar Of Flies (Alice In Chains) and other similar acoustic flavored metal albums. Featuring a great cover of "Iron Horse/Born To Lose" and the amazing instrumental track "Suzanes Song" Adrift is an unapologetic look at a man who traveled the highway of life and though tired and beaten he still finds the strength and courage to carry on.
