What's coming up?

As I already mentioned this week will be "Live album week". So I will have reviews on the following:

-Iron Maiden:Live after death
-Rush:Exit stage left
-Ted Nugent:Full bluntal Nugity

Plus these topics:
-What makes a live album good or bad?
-Who should have done a live album?
And maybe one other topic.

So to kick things off, what is your favorite live hard rock or metal album?

it's a toss between your soon to be reviewed 'live after death', motörhead's 'no sleep 'til hammersmith' and emperor's 'emperial live ceremony'.

KISS Alive. Even though a lot of it wasn't live.

I generally dislike "live" albums b/c they fail to capture the full live experience, and they are almost universally remixed or rerecorded anyway. That said:

Kiss, Alive
Iron Maiden, Live After Death
Rush, Exit Stage Left
Judas Priest, Unleashed in the East

Fuzz and Strutter-Alive is on most people's list even though it's not really live.

Jose-No sleep 'til Hammersmith is a good one for sure.

Onmywatch-Live bootleg is a pretty good album.

Steve-Alive 2 is my favorite live Kiss album and World wide live gets overlooked some times.

Layla-Never heard it.

David-I plan on discussing those things in some topics this week. I picked the Nuge album because it claims to be 100% live with no overdubs.
