Here is a simple game for you. I list three bands and for each one you tell me what you think is the most overrated song by that band and then list the most underrated song by that band. The bands are:

Overrated: "You Shook Me" for sure. I'd be satisfied with never hearing it again.
Underrated: "It's a Long Way to the Top if You Want to RNR"

Overrated - "Iron Man" since they sold out to a freaking care commercial
Underrated - "Supernaut"
Kiss -
Overrated - "RNR All Nite" Again, I'd be happy to never hear this again
Underrated - "Rock Bottom," particularly with the acoustic intro and that kicking rock groove of the song
AC/DC:
Overrated: Jailbreak. It's kinda ramblng, innit? I like AC/DC better when they're concise!
Underrated: Little Lover. It's a great little raunchy tune, sung by Bon Scott. Shows they could do something outside of the big riffs, and still kick ass!
Black Sabbath:
Overrated: War Pigs. Great guitar blowout by Iommi, but that stop-start vocal thing can be annoying as many times as it is arresting and sing-along inspiring.
Underrated: Anything off Cross Purposes. It was lost between Dio and Ozzy reunions, but it was a great little album and shows that, good as Iommi is, he's always better with Geezer around. At least check out Evil Eye - a really fiery song, great riffing, great bass, soaring vocals!
I think KISS is universally overrated. Except this one Gene Simmons song, Unholy. That's pretty neat.
This worked out pretty well. I think I will start doing this once a month. Only I will likely do two bands a month from now on instead of three so I can spread it out to last all year.
