Led Zeppelin Crashed Here by Chris Epting
Santa Monica Press
2007
This is a guidebook to "The rock and roll landmarks of North America" as the cover states. Author Epting has collected and traveled around to compile this book which lists numerous locations of importance in rock history. The book is broken down into sections and includes addresses, historic information and pictures of some of these places. They have places where musicians were born, lived, rehearsed, recorded, died, plus there are listings of famous clubs, venues and locations were famous album covers were photographed. It's fairly varied as to the bands that are covered as it includes everyone from Elvis to Guns and Roses and from Billie Holiday to Soundgarden and a whole slew of acts in between. This book would certainly come in handy if you were going on a vacation and wanted to include some rcok related places to stop at. However it's fairly interesting just for rock fans who want to browse through the many entries contained here. I found it to be well organized and far more enjoyable than I thought it would be.

This sounds like a fun book. Is there anything interesting around us?
Bob-Jackson Browne's "The Road" was recorded in room 301 of the Cross Keys Inn on Falls Road.
This book is availible at your local library.
Oh yeah, I forgot that. And some other stuff from Running on Empty was recorded at Merriwether.
