Favorite and least favorite Judas Priest albums

Photobucket
My favorite Priest album has always been "Screaming for vengeance". One of the first I ever heard from and it has stuck with me. Great vocals, sharp guitars and most of the material is very memorable.

Now although Priest have done a lot of good albums they have also done a few clunkers. Both Ripper Owens albums are weak, Turbo was very poor too, but I'll go with "Nostradamus". It's a long, soulless drone with very little to offer.

***So what are your favorite and least favorite Priest albums?

There's a half dozen of so albums in their catalog that could easily be argued as their best, but there's no denying that Nostradamus was their worst. It's actually one of the worst albums I've ever heard by a respected band.

Check out my love for Priest in recent years on my blog.

I agree that Screaming is probably my favorite followed closely by Defenders.

My least favorite. Ram it Down without a doubt. It was Turbo's unwanted left overs and basically made me stop being a fan.

Sin After Sin has a pretty cool cover that looks good on the back of denim.

I was shocked at how bad Nostradamus was. The only way it could have been worse was if they added their version of "Johnny B. Goode" as a bonus track.

Yeah, that would be as ill-conceived as a concept album about a clairvoyant that was meant to be taken seriously.

I really hated the 80s era of Priest after Point of Entry, especially Screaming for Vengeance and Defenders.

Agreed about Nostradamus, it was far worse than Painkiller, Jugulator and Demolition.

Favourite= Painkiller

Least = Rocka Rolla or Nostradamus (if you count Ripper albums, Demolition was rather weak and is worse than both of those)

Defenders Of The Faith! extremely underrated and imo the best album they ever put out.
