Erasing Never-Killing Yesterday

Self Released 2010

Hailing from my home state of Ohio Erasing Never formed in the fall of 2008. Tired of the same old metal scene the group set out looking to add something different. Something fresh. Having played out for a year honing their skills the group recorded Killing Yesterday. A promising start for this young band Killing Yesterday is well written, well played and well produced. With a sound somewhere between progressive metal and heavy rock Erasing Never play with conviction befitting a more mature band. If I had any complaint with Killing Yesterday it would be that it lacks that super punch sound to put it over the top. I did love the intensity of drummer Bryan . Simply an amazing drummer I found myself wondering if it was all him or if there was some drum machine involved (I emailed him to ask and he said it's 100% him-crazy). And vocalist Dan does a good job behind the mic. Listen to the track "Choice" on the band's website for a preview of his vicious delivery. Bass player Brian though sounded lost in the mix. I would have loved to have heard more from him. Guitars are handled by James (lead) and Chad (rhythm). The solos were really good with a real modern metal flavor. I just wanted more. You can sense they have it and are waiting to unleash this beast. Apparently now down to a four peace after dealing with growing egos between the guitar players Erasing Never are now back on the track and looking at playing more shows by summer. Having already shared the stage with bands like Spineshank and Soilwork the band are writing new material and hope to have a new release out sometime this year. In the meantime do yourself a favor and pick up a copy of Killing Yesterday. Support underground metal! You can find out more at:www.reverbnation.com/erasingnever.

Actually, if you look closely at the bottom after the review it says posted by Andy. I guess you were too excited about trying out the new insult you learned in sixth grade this week to notice that fact. Looks like you forgot how to use the space bar and punctuation as well. Thanks for stopping by though.

Quite right Mark. If your going to insult us at least take the time to read who posted the review. And can't you come up with something a bit more original than "you blow each other". Let me guess your either A) In the sixth grade like Mark said or B) 30 and still living in your parents basement. Which one is it?

anonymous- A joke? Your opinion and you are entitled to it. I'm not interested in whether you like what we write or not. We give our honest opinions on the music we hear. Stay, leave, do whatever. Thanks for popping by and incresing our hit count. At least you are good for that.

EN will suck without their old guitarists. What are you thinking about Bryan? Have you seen his pathetic drum solos on YouTube? I've seen 10th year olds that play better.

Not sure what video you were watching ( are you positive it wasn't Justin Beaber playing the drums?) on Bryan but on the disc he is balls out. I don't know him from Adam other than the fact that he sent me the disc to review. All I know is that Bryan and the vocalist were the best things going on that disc. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions so think what you want though.

I recommend that you guys check out some live footage of Erasing Never. You will disagree with the vocalist being "great" let alone even average.

I found it through youtube links and you can do the same. It's not good.

i know some of the guys in E.N. personally and this review is as true as it gets...and as for the new music with the new guy..well its way above and beyond anything they were doing before thats for sure...the music is way more talented and the singer dan's vocals are absolutely brilliant!!! i for one cannot wait for their return to the scene!! i think they write a lot better stuff now because there isnt any cockyness or egos in the band now...its a way better atmosphere for the guys...whoever wrote those negative things sounds like a very jealous and weak individual...thats all...oh ya and thanks to the creators of this site for bringing this amazing band to the publics eye!!!
