Song questions
I seem to talk about whole albums a lot when asking questions of what everyone likes. So today here are three short questions about individual songs.
1)Name three hard rock/metal songs that you could listen to over and over.
2)Name three hard rock/metal songs that you think are perfect.
3)Name three hard rock/metal songs that you would recommend to someone who is not very familiar with hard rock and metal.

WOW! Your questions kind of go along with the question on my blog today...and guess what, it's a question for YOU! So you better get over there and give my readers something to read (all three of them)
:)
Your kids are ADORABLE! You look like a guy I dated in HS - are you Dutch?
I'm Dutch, Layla, ha!
To try and answer this I'd go:
Songs I could listen to over and over:
1. "Whole Lotta Rosie" - AC/DC
2. "Peace Sells" - Megadeth
3. "Tribal Convictions" - Voivod
Perfect songs:
1. "Rime of the Ancient Mariner" - Iron Maiden
2. "Neogenesis" - Enslaved
3. "Orion" - Metallica
Songs I'd recommend to a non-metal fan:
1. "Turbo Lover" - Judas Priest
JUST KIDDING!!!!!
1. Anthrax - "Potter's Field"
2. Scorpions - "Still Loving You"
3. Iron Maiden - "The Duellists"
One song that falls into all three categories is "Tom Sawyer". Best song ever, IMO. In fact, I'd throw "Man in a Box" in all three categories, too. Come to think of it, "Comfortably Numb" would be my third choice for all three categories.
I'll have to thing about this one.
3 songs I never tire of
1. AC/DC - Back In Black
2. The Who - Won't Get Fooled Again
3. Pink Floyd - Shine On You Crazy Diamond
I'll be back
I think the three categories are close to the same, but I'll try to give you some variety:
Songs I could listen to over and over:
1. "Paradise City" -- Guns N Roses
2. "God of Thunder" -- KISS
3. "La Villa Strangiato" -- Rush
Honorable mention: "2112," "Tooth and Nail"
Perfect songs:
1. "Black Sabbath" -- Black Sabbath
2. "Run to the Hills" -- Iron Maiden
3. "Ride the Lightning" - Metallica
Honorable mentions: "Panama," Kickstart My Heart"
Songs I'd recommend to a non-metal fan: I'd have to start them at the beginning with the foundations of hard rock/metal!
1. "Helter Skelter" -- The Beatles
2. "Communication Breakdown" -- Led Zep
3. "Sunshine of Your Love" -- Cream
Honorable mention: "Smoke on the Water"
-- david

Bruce-Tom Sawyer always holds up well.
David-I almost picked Panama in my perfect songs too.
Onmywatch-Crazy on you has held up very well.
Over and over:
The Who - The Real Me

Recommend:
AC/DC - Back in Black

I have to really think about this one...I'll return.
Mark, so your not Dutch but I did find a Dutchman right here on your blog and he has the same last name as the bf I was referring too. :)
Layla-If you are talking about Ray, he and I have been friends since we were 13. We have been talking about metal for a long time.
I will list three tunes that would fall into all categories for me.
Metallica - No Leaf Clover
Drowning Pool - Sinner
Motley Crue - Shout at the Devil
Indeed, Mark is my main metal compatriot from back in the day. We weren't Wayne's World or anything like that, but we were very serious metalheads and wow, it's been that long, eh, bro? Here's to another 23 years of headbanging! I don't care if I have nine days on you, either, lol...
Here are my faves:
Metallica: Enter Sandman
Tool: Third Eye
Iron Maiden: The Trooper
