Judge the album cover

This week's album cover is Future World, a 1987 release by Pretty Maids. So do you like the cover, think it's just okay or you don't like it?

Awful, awful, awful.

It's trying to recreate the classic Roger Dean covers for Yes in a more modern setting ... but it sends up looking like somebody vomited a package of Skittles.

I actually like this one, it's got a nice composition, and I like the colors.

I love David's comments on this!! Had me laughing out loud.

Personnaly I'd prefer this if it was just the futuristic metropolis you can see in the background - no need for the strange looking future girl!

I think it's just okay. I like the background overall and the colors for that. The girl at first looks okay. However the more I looked at her the worse it looks. She looks a bit unfinished and maybe like she was drawn by a middle school kid. Also I normally like their band logo, but it's too small and too dark on this cover. It gets a little lost in the background.

Not bad for the time period. I remember getting a free copy of this at Listening Booth one time when I bought a couple of other records there. I was expecting it to be terrible, like most of their giveaway artists, but this album was suprisingly listenable and much heavier and catchier than I originally suspected. I'll have to see if I can find that copy.

It's pretty good at a quick glance interesting composition.

I love the colors on this one! Very vibrant. I'd have surely picked this one up simply for the cover alone!

I like it, but I'm a sucker for sci-fi/fantasy covers. It's bright but dark too.

I like the colors, but for some reason I want to start singing, "Domo arigato, Mr. Roboto".

Kinda cool, but very dated. You'd never mistake it as a cover from any other era than the '80s!
