What's coming up?

It's been a busy week at work and another busy one coming up, but then I go on vacation. The final Harry Potter book will come out at the end of the week. I volunteered to work that nightand people can get their books at midnight. I may go in costume, but I am not sure about that yet.

The Trans-American Metal Mondays continues and this Monday it will be Faster Pussycat's debut getting reviewed. Also I hope to have out....

-Van Halen-Diver Down review
-Who were they? It's one of the best metal bands you may have never heard of. It will be the astounding Medieval.
-Over/under
-Judge the album cover

***Here are some "last of" questions for you.

1-What was the last album you listened to?
2-Name the last artist you heard where you thought they were not very good.
3-What was the last album you bought new? The last one you bought used?

1. I just finished listening to Q5 - Steel The Light (1984).

2. The last artist I heard that I thought blew was Fall Out Boy. I just heard a 3 song block on the way home from work and I thought it was one continuous tune.

If we are talking a Metal band, I'd have to say 3 Inches Of Blood, but they are growing on me..

3. New: Ozzy - Black Rain
Used: Twisted Sister - Club Daze Vol. 1

Just letting you know I'm still reading..I've moved blog locations and usernames...But I'm still the same Janet as always.

The last album I listened to was Dav Navaorro's Solo: Trust No One. I happen to like it.

Other than that I've been very involved with my iPod and haven't listened to anything I don't like...I just bought Queens Greatest hits for it though!

1. Chuck Ragan - The Blueprint Sessions
2. Landonband (it was a promo I got in the mail)
3. New: I just ordered several albums from No Idea Records last night, but they aren't here yet. Chuck Ragan live album and the new Against me were the highlights.
Used: I just won five records on ebay today: two U2 12 inches, Burning Sensations s/t, Chuck D, etc - At Least America Indian People Know Exactly How They've Been Fucked Around, and the Commundards - "Don't Leave Me This Way" 12 inch.

By the way axe man, if you don't think U2 are very good, you're not listening. That's almost like saying the Beatles aren't very good. You don't have to like them, but it is a fact that they are very, very good.

Very good at what?

...U2 is one of the most overated bands of all time.(in my opinion). But, I'm sure Bob, that you'll respond back to this with another one of your long and boring lectures...

Axe man, no need for a lecture, because it's common knowledge. If you're curious though, a few months ago I wrote about U2 for a week and that should should explain things. Most of the bands you like are living in the past while U2 continues to reshape rock music just as they have for almost 30 years. Kix couldn't even impact their own genre. Sad, sad, sad.

Bob, you like what you like, and I like what I like. But, what I don't understand is why you always try to start an argument...

So, whatever you say is true...right Bob? They are "living in the past"? Where did you get that information? That is just your opinion...not a fact.

Oh yeah, one more thing Bob. A lot of my bands/artists are making a come back. For example, Ozzy's new album, "Black Rain", reached #1 on the Billboard album charts. And Velvet Revolver's new album, "Libertad", reached number 5 on the Billboard charts.
Also, Bon Jovi's new album "Lost Highway" has done very well.
Bands like Def Leppard, Megadeth, Heaven & Hell(sabbath), are touring, making new music and STILL selling out arenas all over the world. They are hardly "living in the past".

Oh yeah! Bob....
I keep on thinking of more replies to your stupid comments!!!
....

Whey you said "the bands i like",
See, that is what you don't get, you like your bands...but I LOVE mine.

Ok, I'm back just to say that I agree with Bob Vinyl about U2....

And, last I checked, Def Leppard & Megadeth were playing tents that hold approx. 5000... NOT arenas...

However, U2 can sell out a stadium every night of the week anywhere they go in the world...
