Number nine
The top ten albums of 1987 rolls on with number nine and it is...
King Diamond-Abigail
This was the King's second solo lp and his first of many where the whole album was dedicated to one concept. King Diamond started to really establish his own style here and pull further away from his sound with Mercyful Fate. Yet the theatrics, numerous pace changes and King's vocals made for an exciting release.
Number eight will be out on Monday. The hint is that this album received some mixed reviews as the band changed their style some and used different sounds mixed in with their established style.

Not a bad start so far on these ...
The clue could go for a couple. Was Dr. Feelgood in 1987?

David-Dr. Feelgood was 1989.
I figured this would be part of the Top 10 but I figured it would be higher up. It's a solid album but I seem to reach for the previous year's FATAL PORTRAIT more.
Steve
Heavy Metal Addiction
it's a masterpiece
