I think the Realm cover actually held up better. The whole US vs USSR/nuclear threat thing was a popular theme at the time (as well it should have been), but it probably doesn't resonate well with anyone under 30. Plus, the jester is just goofy looking.

Well, the first one made me laugh but the second one is cooler. So, assuming that the first one isn't supposed to be funny, I'd say Realm wins.

They are both a bit much for my taste. Where do you keep coming up with these....lol! I would have to go with Realm, but against my will.

Both of these actually came out in the same year, but Realm has aged better. Both were lumped in with thrash even though Realm had some progressive touches. Also kind of interesting to me is that neither band came from a big scene. Atrophy were from Arizona and Realm were from Wisconsin.

Oh, man, I love both of these albums, particularly Realm's cover of "Eleanor Rigby," THE finest and most creative cover tune ever. Plus their cover is more detailed. Point to Realm.

jbm-The Charisma cover really liked a twelve year old scribbled it on a book cover in about ten minutes.
