Vote for a review
Okay, I am once again giving you the chance to vote what 20 year old album you want me to review. I will review the album with the most votes in June. Here are the choices.
Megadeth-Peace sells, but who's buying
Metal Church-The dark
Slayer-Reign in blood
So put in a comment to let me know which one you want me to review. The voting will be open until April 8th.
My 20 year old album review in April will be Queensryche's Rage for order.
My 20 year old review in May will be Iron Maiden's Somewhere in time.

Metal Church. I only have the debut; I've heard a few songs after that but never picked up other albums. I've often wondered if they would be worth getting, so please let us know!

Underdogs Metal Church are out to a whopping 2-0 lead. Plenty of time to vote.
I am more partial to Slayer but all three are worthy choices.
Megadeth all the way!
I love Peace Sells.

So far it's
Metal Church-3
Megadeth-2
Slayer-1
Ben O. and Ben Heller- Have either of you ever head Tigertailz cover of Peace sells? Tigertailz are a glam band from Wales and they covered it back in 91. They recently re-released an album of b-sides called Banzai and it's on there. It's interesting hearing a lighter band covering a heavier band because normally it's the other way aroud.
Another vote for Megadeth here.
I haven't heard that cover, but I bet it is very interesting. I am one of the only Megadeth fans I know. I still think they hold up. Really crunchy metal. Nice sound.
Strutter - great avatar picture. Dwight rules!

Strutter's vote makes it a tie at three votes each between Megadeth and Metal Church. Slayer are bringing up the rear at one. In the result of a tie I will throw out some metal trivia questions and the first person who answers the most correctly gets to pick which band from the tie I will review. Still plenty of time to vote though.
I want to vote for Slayer, because it's a bit of a sacred cow of speedmetal albums. I think it still holds up, but it'd be interesting to see what you think.
However, I feel compelled to throw my vote to one of the others to break the tie. In that case, I'd vote for Metal Church, because it'd be interesting to see how well it stands up after two decades. I always thought of MC as a second-tier metal band, so I wonder if time will say they've moved up or slipped. Peace Sells is an easy call for me, because it has NOT held up well. I loved it at the time and now I can listen to it, but it can be a bit of a chore.
Bob-I like all three of these albums and I don't want to say too much because I want to save everything for my reviews. I think Metal Church almost made it unlike Slayer and Megadeth who did make it. I think Metal Church were a little underated. However they got some notice from the Dark, but then mainly due to line-up changes they waited almost three years to release a follow-up. I think they lost some momentum there.
Now Metal Church is up to a 4-3 lead over Megadeth.
