Your opinions
Here is a list of ten fairly painless questions.
1-Favorite decade for music (that's music as in all music not just hard rock/metal)
2-Hard rock/metal musician you respect the most
3-Hard rock/metal musician you respect the least
4-First album you ever bought or someone bought for you
5-First album you ever heard that you thought was great
6-The most underated hard rock/metal band of all time
7-The most overated hard rock/metal band of all time
8-Favorite hard rock/metal album of all time
9-Favorite hard rock/metal album cover of all time
10-Do you think metal will make a comeback during the next five years?
My answers:
1-Believe it or not, the 1970's. I think music was a little more pure to an extent and pop music was generally better than some other decades.
2-Lemmy first and then Steve Harris a close second.
3-Axl, his band survived the grunge movement yet he couldn't get past himself.
4-AC/DC-For those about to rock
5-Probably Def Leppard's Pyromania
6-Either Armored Saint or Overkill
7-Pantera
8-Tie between Iron Maiden's The number of the beast and Black Sabbath's Sabbath, bloody sabbath
9-I am not totally sure, but it probably has an Iron Maiden logo on it.
10-Yes, but not nearly as big as it was in the 80's.

7 Comments:
1. I'd have to go with the 1970s as well...for ALL music.
2. Roy Oberson
3. David Lee Roth
4. Europe's "Final Countdown"
5. Michael Jackson's "Thriller"
6. KISS
7. Marilyn Manson (Alice Cooper wanabee)
8. Eagles "Hotel California"
9. Asia...that water dragon coming out of the ocean is so kick ass
10. Not really. I think metal will never become pop mainstream again. But at the same time, I don't think metalheads want it that way anyway.
1) The '80's, I suppose just because I am a product of that era.
2) James Hatfield. Because he seems to respect his fans.
3) Axl Rose. Because he doesn't
4) I can not remember my first but AC/DC's Highway to Hell sticks out for a reason that I will explain later.
5) Iron Butterfly's In-a-gadda-da-vida. My father played this 8-track every Weekend morning on volume 11 to wake me up.
6) Metal Church was very underrated.
7)I refuse to answer this question since I do not wish to piss anyone off with my list.
8) Kiss Destroyer. It was one of those albums that when it came out turned me to a life of rock and roll appreciation.
9) AC/DC's Highway to Hell. It looks quite simple but when it came out I had to have it the cover with Bon Scott and the horns appealed to my junior high tastes. It was the first time I truly rebelled against my mothers wishes as she hated the cover as being Satanic and forbid me to buy it. I did and became my own person and have never looked back.
10) Damn Straight.
1-The 70s, hands down. Best. Music. Ever.
2-Henry Rollins. I love to hear him interviewed, because he's smart as hell.
3-Axl Rose; he's a dick.
4-Beatles '65
5-Beatles '65
6-Triumph
7-Pantera
8-Back in Black
9-Any Iron Maiden cover
10-If it does, it'll be only because PD's and A & R people will have taken their heads out of their asses.
1- The 80s, my teenage years
2- Gene Simmons. He may be an over-the-top, self-promoting, full of himself jackass, but at least he's honest about it.
3- Another vote for Axl. What a tool.
4- Umm...(cough cough)...the soundtrack to "The Muppet Movie."
5- I don't remember which KISS album I heard first, but I think it was Love Gun.
6- KISS. The Rodney Dangerfield of the rock and roll world.
7- Metallica. I'll never understand how they became so popular after they started to really suck.
8- KISS Alive!
9- KISS Destroyer
10- Unfortunately, I don't see it happening.
1) THE 70'S!!!!
2) Randy Rhoades
3) Tommy Lee
4) Goat's Head Soup by the Stones
5) Don't remember but probably the Stones or Zeppelin
6) Deep Purple
7) ?
8) Van Halen (self titled)
9) Deep Purple Machine Head
10) hopefully
