Heavy Metal Jukebox

It's time to play a Supergroup version of the Heavy Metal Jukebox. I list three choices and you pick the song you like the best. Here they are.

Damn Yankees-Coming of age
David Lee Roth-Yankee Rose
The Firm-Radioactive

**So which one do you choose?

Sorry, no DLR for me; never cared much for his solo stuff(not even with Steve Vai on guitar). And while The Firm was ok, I'll choose Damn Yankees.

I only know Yankee Rose. It's a pretty good song, I enjoyed it - especially how Steve Vai responded to David in the song (was pretty cool)

It's been a while since I heard or thought about Yankee Rose. Good song.

Damn Yankees was solid. There were a couple of better songs on that album (sadly, not on the follow-up), but "Coming of Age" is a great hard rock song.

"Yankee Rose" was energetic and FUN. An amazing contrast with what Van Halen chose to do with most of 5150.

And "Radioactive," though mixed horribly, was great because it showed how even an understated Jimmy Page could match up well with another all-time great rock vocalist.

Tough call, but "Yankee Rose." By a nose.

I agree, this one is hard. I'm going to have to go with Radioactive because of the songs unique sound.

I remember all three being staples on the radio at the different years they were releases. I have to go with Yankee Rose though because it's Dave and Stevie.

Although Radioactive was probably my LEAST favorite song on that album, I will go with it. Page is one of my favorite guitarists and Paul Rodgers could sing the Atlanta phone book and it would sound good :)

I must say, I saw Dave on that first tour and the music was just incredible. Steve and Billy took turns trading solos and it was mind blowing!!!

I will have to throw a bone to DLR on this one.

I have more fond memories of Yankee Rose than I do the other two.

Both "Coming of Age" and "Yankee Rose" are great songs!
I have never heard of The Firm before so, I couldn't really say if I liked it or not.
But I have to go with
Damn Yankees "Coming Of Age"!!!

I'd go with The Firm. I used to love that album although I haven't heard it for years. I wonder if it still holds up. I was never a big fan of DLR's solo career and Damn Yankees....Ugh.

YANKEE ROSE! I love Diamond Dave, and Vai's smarmy talking guitar just belnds in superbly, LA glam/sleaze elevated to some godlike perfection.

'Well, let me roll up onto the sidewalk and take a look, yes....Whoah! She's beautiful!" One of my personal favorites in terms of album openers. Steve Vai shreds on this track and it showed Dave had some life after VH. My choice hands down.
