Judge the album cover

It's supergroup week here at my blog and even though Asia are more AOR than hard rock I am going to throw out two of their covers for judging.

First is the self-titled debut from 1982.

Next is Alpha from 1983.

So what do you think of them? Do you like them, don't or are they just alright?

Good album covers. I also liked Yes' early album covers, as well.

I prefer the second cover (I like the eyes). Asia had some good tunes back in the day.

LOVE THEM. Roger Dean is one of the best cover artists ever. Alpha is particularly vivid.

But, i am a little partial to the 1st one!
But they both are cool.

I like 'em both, but I always for some reason consider "Tshirt Adaptation Awesomeness". I think the Alpha would look more striking on a 3/4 sleeve! Great blog, Metal Mark!

I'm a big fan of Roger Dean's work. Great covers. I like the stuff that he did for Yes.

While I love the members of Asia I can't say that I love Asia's music but their album covers are phenomenal. I don't think any band had better album covers than Asia...

I like both covers, but probably the second one a little more. Being a sci-fi fan I like the futuristic buildings.

I'd have to say that I like both equally. That look is cool and very stylized. I've always liked
the Yes covers so these are no surprise.

I always loved that first Asia cover. So cool. Not better than Kansas' Point of No Return though! I was fascinated by that cover when I was a kid.

I liked the self debut better but they are both awesome in my opinion.

They're both good covers. Put a dragon there and it could be a Blind Guardian album.
