Number seven
My top ten hard rock/metal albums of 1987 continues with number seven and it is....
Faster Pussycat-s/t
Their debut showed a somewhat raw form of glam that drew from both the then current glam influences as well as some 1970's glam bands as well. The result was a basic yet fun album that benefitted from a stripped down sound and a sense of humor.
Number six is due up next. The hint is that this band changed singers and record labels before releasing this album.

This is one of the few 80s glam albums that I think can stand alongside glam from the 70s. The lyrics are dumb, but funny. "Bathroom Wall" never ceases to crack me up.
bob-It still holds up well too. So many bands were going the way of Poison andd Motley Crue by this point, but this was a fine album. "Wake me when it's over" is good, but just not the same. They got heavier and became less fun. They lost a lot of what made this album unique.
Isn't anyone brave enough to guess at number six?
I like FP's debut, it has that GnR grit but still glam. Maybe if they got a break a couple years earlier, they would have made more of an impact. Now the band is garbage, IMO.
Next album is Exodus - Pleasures Of The Flesh.....they replaced Paul Ballof with Steve Sousa and signed a big deal with Combat.
Steve
Heavy Metal Addiction
Steve-Yes, that would fit the hint. However, "Pleasures of the flesh" was an average album at best so it's not them.
I thought you'd have this on here somewhere. A fun album ... but I can't listen to the whole album b/c his vocals drive me nuts in large doses.

David-I love the vocals.
Yeah, baby, I played some FP this past week. Did you hear their "Silent Night" on the Monster Ballads Xmas album? Weird.
