This was a bit of a tough one for me to pin down because a few adjustments and I may have been able to sing the praises of Midnite Club. Ultimately that's not the case though because sticks to a formula that I wasn't real fond of when it was big twenty some years ago. What we get from this band is hard rock with touches of AOR. This means strong vocals, soaring melodies and very defined guitar solos on the positive side. On the down side it also means very repetitive choruses, not enough guitars other than the solos, typical rhythm section and an overuse of keyboards. These are obviously very big on Whitesnake and I am sure they spent many hours spinning "Slide it in" and the self-titled album. The arrangements are solid if you like your music catchy yet safe, but to me it's just too safe. Okay, they can play yet it's all a little to by the book and a bit sterile for me. They probably have the talent to spread out a little more, but they stayed in a shell and didn't really move beyond a very limited range. Overall it's somewhat pleasant, but far from being very engaging or intriguing because there just isn't enough going on. These guys are decent technically, but the feelings behind it seem too scripted and it's all a bit too predictable for me.
