Number 11
On to number 11 of my top 25 hard rock/metal guitarists. It is..
Michael Denner
and
Hank Shermann
The Mercyful Fate pair are definitely the most underrated duo of all time. Their peak was during the band's all too short first run in the early 1980's. They helped define a classic metal style with their tight churning style. Both guys could pull so much out of each riff.

true guitar kings! super nice guys as well. their "Fate" project stunk it up though. Denner's work with King D was great too.
Being nice is part of the criteria? Man, I should have never bothered to practice and just cultivated a better personality. Then maybe I could have made the list! As it stands, I'm still a rotten guitar player and a cantankerous not-so-old man. Oh, how I've gone wrong!
Bob-Sorry, but you didn't make this list.
Yeah, I screwed up with both my playing and personality. What a shame.
Bob-Maybe you can make the "top 25 grouchy guys who like to stir up trouble" list.
I should be near the top of that one!
who said "being nice" was part of the criteria? someone having reading troubles today?
I believe you're the one who keeps mentioning which guys are nice. I assumed that it was part of the criteria, not that you were just trying to impress people with who you've met.
oh...no...it's all about impressing people!
