Revolution Harmony-"We Are" Single

Revolution Harmony

Revolution Harmony is a non-profit record label that was set up in 2011by British music lecturer/journalist Ray Holroyd. The label is based in Vancouver, Ontario and was set-up with the dual goals of A) Giving artists a chance to have their music exposed to a worldwide audience so that they could earn money for themselves (most musicians these days simply break even in the end) and B) Providing an opportunity for profits from that music to be donated to various charitable organizations. That include "charities that restore harmony between all people, animals and the environment." I am always willing to stand behind metal music for good causes and in this particular case it's the charity organization Buskaid that will benefit from this single.Said origination offers free music lessons and instruments to children who live in the townships of South Africa. That sounds like a wonderful thing to me. As for the single then? Well, it features vocals from Serj Tankian (System Of A Down),  Ihsahn (Emperor) and up-and-coming UK singer Abbie Johnson as well as guitar solos by Devin Townsend. Nice right? The single "We Are", which also features guitarist Stefan Loh (We Claimed Sentience Once), is due to be released on July 18th (Mandela Day). The single was composed, arranged, programmed and produced by Ray Holroyd in Vancouver. Recordings took place in North America, England, Norway and New Zealand and then it was mixed by Rohan Onraet (Slipknot, Machine Head) in London. And then finally Ted Jensen (Green Day, Muse) handled the mastering of  "We Are" in New York. Wow, that right there just goes to show you what goes on when you try to assemble one of these projects. A lot of people took time out of their busy lives to knock this charitable single out and the end result, which can be heard below, is a nice heavy slab of modern metal with an almost doom mentality lurking behind the scenes. In other words this All-Star affair is  one you'll want to add to your digital collection. Find out more below.
