Number three
Already up to number three on my top 25 hard rock/metal guitarist countdown. It is...
Dave Murray and Adrian Smith
The greatest guitar duo of all time. They play off of each other and just seem to always have these riffs going everywhere. Being part of the greatest metal band of all time helps, but these two are a certainly a large part of why Maiden are so fantastic.
***Number two is coming soon.

What about Dennis Stratton?
Oh, yeah thanks to Dennis Stratton for getting out of the way so that Smith got another shot at joining the band. Stratton was good on the debut, but let's face it Adrian Smith coming into the band helped them immediately.
How come Janick Gers isn't on the list? I haven't seen Maiden since 1984 but everyone that's seen them recently swears that Janick isn't even plugged in on stage.
The other guys must like Janick for his personality. That's the only I can think of as to why they have kept him around Adrian Smith re-joined the band.
wheres gary moore???
love maiden!
Gary Moore could take the spot inexplicably filled by Angus Young.
Maiden is just amazing across the board. They're almost impossible to overrate.
niknikon-Gary Moore is a good guitarist, but not one of my absolute favorites.
