Nephelium-Coils of Entropy
Self-Release
2012
When I think of Dubai death metal is not the first thing that comes to mind. And yet this insane (and frankly BRUTAL) death metal act might just change that. This talented band (that now reside in Toronto, Canada) are the real deal and frankly this is one of the better debut albums I've had the pleasure of hearing death metal or not. In the A-Z filing cabinet of heavy metal this album would be filed under "Brutal Death Metal" and honestly even that doesn't do a proper enough job of of explaining just how hardcore and nasty this album is. And yet with the clean and crisp production job your able to make out everything perfectly clear. Whether it is the axe attack of guitarists Alex and James or the over the top skills of drummer Alan everything stands out in it's own right. From the start this album greets the listener with technical if chaotic death metal and leaves you anticipating more. This is a highly recommended debut.
