End of level boss-Eklectic

The third release from End of level boss is a combination of stoner rock fuzziness and passages of progressive rock. The majority of the songs are very controlled so don't expect much in the way of chaotic blasts. However they do let loose in that all of the instruments are key in adding to the thick, lingering attacks that the band excels at. My favorite track is the longest on the album which is "Senescence". The combination of offbeat notes and sledgehammer vocals causes the song to be powerful and intriguing. This is an approach that they on other songs on the album as well. The overall is a bit like Kyuss, but they do enough to establish their own identity as well. There is definitely a feel to many of their songs that reminds me of music from the 1990's. I don't see that as a limitation, but rather just part of their sound. "Ekletic" is a stunning release and definitely where I here more to like with each play because it's a constantly moving album with so much to hear that you are definitely not going to be able to take it all in on just one play.
