Reign Of Vengeance-Disemboweling Swine

Formed in 2005 Reign of Vengeance has had featured guest appearances from members of Job For A Cowboy, Dying Fetus, Abigail Williams, Vehemence and Aborted. This Scottsdale, AZ death metal act released the Revenge by Bloodshed EP in 2007 and now are set to release their full length debut album Disemboweling Swine. Now the promo boldly proclaims that "ROV's debut is the sonic equivalent to taking a rusty axe to a pack of baby seals (and just as fun too)". Who am I to argue with that logic? This is some pretty crazy and spastic death/grind. Reign of Vengeance has their hands on a album that while not groundbreaking might at least be neck breaking. One thing too those featured guest appearances are good reference points although there is some Napalm Death, early Death, Carcass and Morbid Angel to be found within as well. Really it's a mixed bag of good, bad and down right ugly death metal. Do we need more gory death metal outfits? Probably not. That said though you could do worse than Reign Of Vengeance.
