Since their 2009 inception Louisville, Kentucky act Seidr have released a handful of self-released demos and EPs. Featuring Panopticon's Austin Lunn (guitar, vocals, recorded drumming) and Wheels Within Wheels' Crow (guitar, vocals, recorded bass) Seidr operate on a washed out/sludge doom/post-rock level. With vocals not far removed from gargling razor blades death metal Seider scrape their way through For Winter Fire. With the band’s lyrical content centered mostly on spirituality, nature and the cosmos the album moves along creating mood music of the highest form. This is crushing doom born of nightmares with enough dread to make you think twice about the world you live in.
