Shattered Generation-"Out of Line" (Single)

Self-Release/Independent
2014

The upcoming new single, "Out of Line", is just the latest work from Nottingham/Derby-based Shattered Generation. Providing further proof that you should never judge a book by it's cover (or in this case judge a band by the height of their hair!), Shattered Generation, who are currently aligned with the great folks over at Quite Great PR and have been working with two top-notch producers in Dito Godwin (Mötley Crüe, No Doubt) and Jon Moon (Pink Floyd, Bryan Adams), are a band which is more likely to be appreciated for their classic rock/eighties rock-inspired leads then their teased-up looks! Or at least if we're to go by Lexi Black's work on "Out of Line" that is! Between his guitar skills and Johnny Wildheart's ability on the mic (with bassist Acie Wilson and drummer Jonno working the middle with style and class all their own!) listeners should find plenty to like about this hard rock/hair metal four-piece. Now all this band needs is a (proper) full-length release in order to prove that this single isn't a fluke (and something tells me it isn't!) and a serious push (something Quite Great PR should provide!) and they could very easily be on thier way. This is certainly a band to keep an eye out for as "Out of Line" showcases in all of it's rock-infused glory!

I stand my my review. I happen to find guys with teased up hair kind of silly. Sorry, but I lived through it all once and thought it was as dreadfully tacky then as it is now. Still, I really enjoyed this band licks and thought that the combination of classic rock and hard rock/hair metal was splendid.
